Salman Khan WANTED hits jackpot, fetches Rs 30 crore in Ist week!! [22 Sep 2009]

Salman Khan, the macho man of bollywood who plays a hit man Radhey in just released mega budget flick ‘Wanted’ opposite Ayesha Takia, has finally struck gold at the box office after a long spell of drought.

According to trade sources, Salman Khan starrer ‘Wanted’ has already fetched around Rs 20 crore in its first weekend and is expected to earn around Rs 30 crore in the first week. There was an environment of relief and déjà vu at Galaxy apartment where Salman Khan lives. In fact, Sohail Khan, the younger brother of Salman, started partying with friends on Friday night itself after hearing the news of its bumper opening across the country.

Even producer Boney Kapoor attended the party and enjoyed the moment of success in Salman Khan’s illustrious bollywood career. The success was sweeter to the entire Khan family as it had come after five flop films in a row from Salman Khan.

The grapevine has it that even Salman Khan went out of his way to celebrate the success of his film and invited friends at his Eid party, where Katrina Kaif was seen playing the role of a hostess. One of the special invitees to the party was perfectionist Aamir Khan, who not only attended the Eid party but also congratulated Sallubhai on his success.

Earlier, Salman Khan had invited Aamir Khan to watch the film in a preview theatre near his home and Aamir obliged him. It was only after being impressed with Salman Khan’s action sequences in the film that Aamir decided to visit his home for Eid party.

Earlier, Salman Khan would drop at Aamir Khan’s house and two would enjoy themselves in the absence of Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan’s wife. As is known Aamir and wife Kiran were holidaying in France before he decided to return to India to shoot Raj Kumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’. But, Kiran is still holidaying in France for the timbering.

The grapevine has it that while Salman Khan and Aamir Khan bonded at Eid party, it was work and work for Shah Rukh Khan. He was busy with the shooting of Karan Johar’s upcoming flick ‘My Name Is Khan’ and hence away from the action.

However, this bonhomie between Aamir and Salman Khan would certainly be viewed with suspicion by Shah Rukh Khan’s loyalists. Or may be it is true—Salman-Aamir ganging up against Shah Rukh Khan, what say??
